First an understanding of Chiastic Structure.

Genesis : Exodus Chiastic Observation:

A: A detailed account of the creation of our Earth[ly tabernacle].
B: Adam instructed by God in the Garden of Eden
C: Death (Spiritual First, then Physical) comes by eating.
D: Water kills the wicked, Righteous saved by God (Flood)
E: Abraham commanded to sacrifice Isaac (Firstborn Son)
F: Posterity of Israel blessed as promised by God.
G: Israel is made free in Egypt
H: Israel is Fruitful and Multiplies in Egypt
G: Israel is brought into bondage in Egypt
F: Egypt suffers from plagues as promised by God.
E: Firstborn Sons of Egypt are killed
D: Water kills the wicked, Righteous saved by God (Red Sea)
C: Life comes by Eating (Water last, first Manna)
B: Moses instructed by God on Mt. Sinai
A: A detailed account of the building of the Tabernacle

The meaning of this Chiastic pattern becomes profound when one looks at it in view of the Symbols involved in the Genesis Exodus books, and how they pertain to the latter day's. Suffice it to say here that the structure revolves around God's first commandment to mankind while in the Garden; To "be fruitful, and multiply" and when viewed in light of symbolism the two books together are an exact pattern of how fulfilling that commandment is possible.
