A walk through a beautiful garden:

Yesterday I celebrated Holi in Spanish Fork Utah. As over 2000 people prepared to throw colors on each other we were treated to a classical Indian dance troop.

Bharatanatyam dance as it was explained to us had 3 major focus's, Expression, Rhythm, and Music. As I watched this beautiful dancing I was struck by the stark difference of it from what I'm normally exposed to as "dancing", many slow movements followed by short bursts of fast motion only to stop in a statuesque pose. My mind conjured up the feeling of being led through a garden. The dancing motions leading me to a new site, each pose seemingly a new exotic flower intoxicating me with it's beauty. I felt entranced not only with the beauty of what I saw, but the beauty of what it caused me to feel, and think.

Through dance I felt as though I transcended this world and took a stroll through a celestial garden...and I'll never be the same.
